ABOUT THE COURSE

 Intermediate Piano continues to build on from the Beginner Piano course. We will learn the walkups and walk downs with all the keys with flats which are F, Bb, Eb, Ab, Db, Gb, and Cb will continue to cover all the walk downs in the keys with sharps as well.

You will learn almost all the main chords for all the different keys and understand how chords work within different keys. You will learn arpeggios, how to add color chords to songs by playing 2's, 7's, etc. You will begin to learn more ways to play songs so that you will eventually be prepared to play with worship teams because you will know the chords and theory needed. This course also continues with the quizes that will test your knowledge of all the chords and the Nashville number system. I continue to teach you the techniques I use as I play the piano. This course will prepare you to take the Advanced Piano course.

I often ask people, "Would you rather memorized and recite a poem in Italian or learn the language?" If you learn how to recite a poem, that is all you know in Italian. It would be best to learn the language because then you are not limited. 

That is how I am approaching these piano courses. I want to teach you the language of music. I want you to learn the theory behind what you are playing. I want to teach you how chords work within keys, how to play chords in different positions, and why knowing the theory behind it all will unlock the music inside of you. If you will take the time to practice, and be dedicated to learning these courses, you will be equipped to create your own musical poems!
